Aresnał’88 was a famous manifesto group exhibition of 389 young polish artists, painters, print makers, sculptors and photographers. It was organized with great impetus in the Warsaw Hall of Guard. Aresnał’88 was the biggest show of the art of the young generation without censorship after 1955. The exhibition was accompanied by various concerts by established young musicians, film screenings and performances. The exhibition was attended by nearly one hundred thousand visitors.
For me, it was my first exhibition I have participated in, right after graduation from the university. For the show, I submitted three aquatint works from Turning Points, my MFA diploma series.
